Ship 02:59
The world is shaking like a ship That’s blown across a roaring sea We are the passengers aboard And we must sing ferociously The world is hanging on a string And no one knows what happens next We have the colours on our hands We are the ones who write the text Our souls are diamonds in the blue And now the lazy days are through Tonight the sky is dark and wild And hearts are filled with fear and hope You’re not the only one awake The lights are on around the globe Our souls are diamonds in the blue And now the waiting days are through The world is shaking like a ship The world is shaking like a ship The world is shaking like a ship The world is shaking like a ship

Lush kisses Lush kisses Lush kisses Lush kisses In the ozone summers On the ozone world In the ozone summers With the ozone girl Wet horses In our sleep All around us Love is cheap In the ozone summers On the ozone world In the ozone summers With the ozone girl Wanna make you Twist and moan Under the airplanes Under the drone Wanna make you Lose your heart To the God That gave us ozone summers On the ozone world In the ozone summers With the ozone girl In the ozone summers On the ozone world In the ozone summers With the ozone girl In the ozone summers On the ozone world In the ozone summers With the ozone girl Oh my God It’s so hot out here … So hot out here … Hey – you wanna go over to the gas station And grab a can of something wet? So hot … Look at those pal trees in the wind …

Moonlit Days 03:03
I don’t like you anymore Frozen flowers at my door Distant voices in my head All the things that were not said All we had once now is dead I’ll just hit the gas and roll Hope the angels save my soul I don’t care how long you cry It was time to end the lie It was time to say goodbye And my mind gets dark and out of tune In the soft hot night at the end of June And the car rolls south with the windows wide And foreign voices on my radio On my radio I’ll just sing and drink and die I’m a child with apple-pie At the corners of my mouth While the car is rolling south While the car is rolling south And my mind gets dark and out of tune In the soft hot night at the end of June And the car rolls south with the windows wide And foreign voices on my radio On my radio

Here come the flowers the flowers of light The dance of spaghetti on the interstate flight Here comes the waitress that strokes my hair And tells the little boy that we’re almost there These are the comics I got for the ride The candy and the kisses and the shivers inside These are the dreams that were made in Taiwan This is what’s left when your friends are gone These are the summers you just can’t beat Here come the songs of the incomplete These are the summers you just can’t beat Here come the songs of the incomplete Here come the years under pumpkin skies This is the truth and these are the lies Here come the minutes you were waiting for These are the sounds from behind the door Here come the tunes that you get so cheap And these are the cities that you made in your sleep This is your ticket to vacation land With a toothbrush on your ear and a pencil in your hand These are the summers you just can’t beat Here come the songs of the incomplete These are the summers that smell so sweet Here come the songs of the incomplete This is the world The world you want This is the world The world you want I wanna kiss you baby I wanna kiss you baby I wanna kiss you baby I wanna kiss you baby I wanna kiss you baby I wanna kiss you baby I wanna kiss you baby In a sea full of light I’m gonna kiss you baby In an ocean full of flowers I’m gonna kiss you babe kiss you babe Because it’s summer babe… And here come the flowers you just can’t beat C’est nul! Here come the summers that smell so sweet C’est vide! Brune! And here come the summers that smell so sweet Here come the songs of the incomplete This is the world The world you want Here come the days you just can’t beat Here come the songs of the incomplete C’est nul! C’est vide! Here come the summers you just can’t beat Here come the songs of the incomplete This is the world The world you want Here come the days that smell so sweet Here come the songs of the incomplete An ocean full of flowers A sea full of flowers Here come the summers you just can’t beat Here come the songs of the incomplete Incomplete Incomplete

Bigger buildings / Will you be by my side? Bigger buildings / Will you be by my side? Coming up slowly There’s water in my ears Coming up slowly There’s water in my ears Below us bigger buildings Bigger than the night And if I ever wake up Will you be by my side? It was all so important But I didn’t understand They gave me these presents But I didn’t understand Around me a distance Bluer than the sea And if I ever wake up Will you be there with me? Below us bigger buildings Bigger than the night And if I ever wake up Will you be by my side? Bigger buildings / Will you be by my side? Bigger buildings / Will you be by my side?

Clouds 03:13
These clouds so high remind me of the seventies when mom was gone and I was stoned and love and peace were long forlorn and dreams were torn Dreams were torn If you don’t hit the notes you need it won’t be long until you bleed your fucking brains onto the floor where they won’t help this world no more World no more So don’t you dare to think about what neighbours talk and girlfriends shout don’t let a lousy little doubt eat on your heart just sing out loud Sing out loud These sunny days won’t last too long in fact your teeth will soon be gone and all the movies in your head will turn to garbage when you’re dead When you’re dead

Home 01:25
Home Hello this is home The backyard The pumpkins on the fence Dimensions Stretch endlessly This is home Hello this is home The love and the shivers This is home

Where are you now? Please come home Where are you now? Please come home The kitchen is sold Please come home The garden is bare The birds have all flown I dream of machines That take you from here I dream of machines That take you from here I dream of the nights You breathed on my ear I’ll cut off my head To stop all the tears The wheat-fields are all on fire And I made them burn The wheat-fields are all on fire Will I ever learn? Here in my arms Is where you should be Here in my arms Is where you should be Here in my heart Is a vacancy I curse to the wind That took you from me

The sky is a big blue wall That keeps us apart From the emptiness beyond But we down here Just try to ignore This fact And meet for birthday parties From here to the Milky Way There’s nothing but space And almost all of us are crazy A different world In each of our heads That lasts Until we lose our faces The night is a dark blue cloth The wing of a crow That sweeps across our shoulder blades But who cares anyway …

The girl that I loved Had her own special smell It was pretty much like summer And nights on the ocean And the things we used to do Were much better than boredom And we lived in a small apartment Where the big trucks rolled by It was mostly on Saturdays When we went out for dinner The sky was full of flashlights And our hearts were full of lust She said: “Are you always gonna love me?” I said: “Of course I will honey!” And we went to the pizzeria For some coffee and cream And there’s always the Sundays And we hated that day Cause it made me feel so lonely That I lost faith in friendship And I get these little moods Where I say something ugly And Barbara starts crying And I hated myself She was young enough to make it So she left in September And she never said goodbye Cause she ain’t sentimental And I don’t wanna think about her Cause it might make me crazy And now it’s almost Christmas And I’m crying for Barbara

Driving Song 04:47
Sleeping in the car Bags beneath the seat The country that we crossed Was holy and complete And oh how much I like you My heart is like a bird Floating on a melody That no one ever heard From here to the horizon The humming of the bees An endless field of violets And single olive trees And you and me were out there Gazing at the sky Where giant birds flew circles And clouds were travelling by And all we drink is water And menthol cigarettes The roads are wide and empty The skies are cool no jets And that I ever found you Is such a big surprise I can’t wait til you wake up And the sun begins to rise

I remember living On the western coast of France I was only seventeen When a girl first took my heart And though I seen the rivers They never looked as good as you And though I seen the rivers They never looked as good as you Sometimes the light would shine down Sometimes the world was black and white Sometimes the light would shine down Sometimes the world was black and white And though I seen the rivers They never looked as good as you And though I seen the rivers All they ever do is remind me of you You know I could have loved you You know I once believed in you You know I could have loved you You know I once believed in you And though I seen the rivers They never looked as good as you And though I seen the rivers They never looked as good as you
